Excellent video showing a lifesize Trebuchet:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L1EAA7pkEJ4

The full version of that documentary that I watched a few years ago is a lot better as it goes into more detail and shows them actually constructing it, but the full version is not on YouTube.

Just wondering something, how would we implement trebuchets? animation wise no trouble, but im wondering along the lines of a stone flying accross the map for example?

the cannon ball is implemented I know but can it be converted to that use?

Nice vid!

Implementing the stone is no problems, you just have to edit the WEAPON.NDS file and just make the stone animation and create a .GP file I will just make the stone animation in Poser.

Do you like the idea of craters being left by projectiles when they hit the ground? I like the look, it is done in a couple of American Conquest mods.

yes but not craters as such, maybe scars on the ground where the stone has cut into the ground? That would look really good!

Yeh I'm happy with that! I didn't mean big, big craters, more like what you described.
