Using Buildings from ACFB and ACDN

I am making a mod about the Franco Prussian War. Is it ok to use buidlings from both ACFB and ACDN?

I don't see there being a problem with that, as long as you legally own both games (legally purchased) and your not making money off anything it wouldn't be a problem, Divided Nation was developed by Revolution Strategy, you could always try to e-mail them about your mod, but I don't even think the exist anymore, so I wouldn't worry about it.

If you need a hand with anything just let me know. biggrin

Thanks for your help. I was just wondering because somebody made a mod with units from both DN and FB and then when they posted it on mastersofthefield.com, people said that it was illegal or something.

you can not do that legally, becuase acdn and acfb aremade by different companys

It would not be encouraged by HAWKS but consdering revolution strategy are no longer around there wouldn't be a problem with it, if you have legally purcashed the game then it's not an issue.

GSC don't seem to have a problem with any of the older work, they moved on from it years ago and don't seem to even care about the older games that made them into the company they are now, let alone showing any kind of support for their dwindling fan base.
GSC have let the CivFanatics community use all the units from Cossacks in thier mods, they are generous like that.

Because they are generous I think that they will release them, it may not be to the general public, but if you can show that you are genuinely interested in furthering the engine they will share it.
