GSC File Information

GP files
Graphics Package files (or GP) are the games graphics files, such as animations, buildings etc. The GP files contain the .bmp frames of the these animations and buildings. The GP files also contain a .lst file which is a list of all the .bmp files inside the GP. These .bmp frames & the .lst file are packed using the MegaPack tool. There are 2 types of GP files for each unit or building, there is the normal size GP which is used when you are at normal zoom level in the game, and there is the 2nd GP file which is the small version of the unit or building when you zoom out of the map in the game (L mode). To view a GP file you use the Graphics Packages Viewer tool.
Another type of animation that can be used is what I call a floating animation, its a normal animation .GP but its position is displayed as static in the game and uses co-ordiantes for its position, this can be handy for flags on buildings, you can have a animated flag that waves in the wind sitting on a building.
